Southern Maine Area Agency on Aging - Mr. Fix-it Program

The Mr. Fix-It Program helps older people in Southern Maine to maintain their homes so they may remain secure and independent.  It is a minor home repair and maintenance service for people age 60 and over in York and Cumberland counties.  The program recruits volunteers to provide home chores or repairs, modifications, or referrals to professional trades people for more extensive repair work.  Repairs are provided to homes owned by seniors or to personal property of renters, but services are not provided to renters' dwellings, which are the responsibility of the landlord.
