Obtaining a Disability Parking Placard and/or Plates

A disability placard or license plate is available through the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, for an individual, family member, or anyone residing in a household with someone who has disability.

  • The application must be completed by the applicant, as well as a physician.
  • The application is available by contacting the Bureau of Motor Vehicles:

Notes 

  • There is no fee for filing an application.
  • There is a very short waiting period; the placard will be mailed the same day a complete and eligible application arrives. The license plates may take longer.
